This “Entry-level” Phone is Getting Out of Line!

The entry-level phone market has turned into a small battlefield. Every brand wants to add bigger screens, better batteries, and nicer designs. It feels like the competition grows stronger every month. UMIDIGI decided to jump right back into the fight. Their new UMIDIGI A75x is coming soon, and calling it an “entry-level” phone doesn’t really reflect what it offers. UMIDIGI picked a friendly price for this phone, but the features look more like something from a higher class.

Umidigi A75x: A Simple Design That Still Doesn’t Look Entry-Level

The A75x gives a good first impression. It avoids cheap-looking finishes and bright colors that try too hard. The back has a clean look, a neat, rounded-square camera island, and a slim vertical glass strip that adds a modern touch. It looks calm, sharp, and a bit more premium than you would expect.

At first glance, most people would think it belongs in the mid-range group.

A 6.75-inch Screen With Smooth Refresh Rate

Many budget phones still use small screens with basic refresh rates. The A75x takes a step forward with a 6.75-inch display that runs at 90 Hz. Videos feel more engaging, scrolling feels smoother, and the larger size makes everything easier on the eyes.

It gives the feeling of a small movie screen, which is unusual for this segment.

Solid performance with an octa-core chip and up to 12 GB of dynamic RAM

Inside, the phone uses a UNISOC octa-core processor that focuses on steady and efficient performance. You get 4 GB of RAM, and UMIDIGI adds another 8 GB of virtual RAM to keep things smooth when switching between apps.

Storage is 64 GB, which is enough for daily tasks. This phone aims to deliver a stress-free experience instead of chasing high performance numbers.

A big 5000 mAh battery in a slim body and a Powerful Camera

The A75x manages to stay slim while carrying a 5000 mAh battery. The body measures only 8.1 mm, which keeps it light and comfortable to use. You can watch videos, browse, or take photos throughout the day without worrying about constant charging.

There is also support for 5W reverse charging, which lets the phone act as a small emergency power source for other devices.

The camera system is also decent. The 13 MP main camera delivers clear, bright photos, and the 5 MP selfie camera performs well for calls and casual shots. It is not meant for serious photography, yet it delivers solid results for everyday use.

IP54 protection against dust and splashes

For extra peace of mind, the A75x includes IP54 protection. It can handle light rain, dust, or small splashes without trouble. This is a welcome feature in a phone at this price.

It’s the first entry-level phone to run Android 16

One of the biggest surprises is the software. The UMIDIGI A75x arrives with Android 16 right out of the box. While some brands insist on Android 15 in their releases, the new phone offers the latest visuals. The new OS also has stronger privacy tools and a cleaner overall experience.

    Umidigi A75x Quick Specs Recap

    • Processor: UNISOC octa-core chipset focused on stable and power-efficient performance
    • RAM: 4 GB physical RAM plus 8 GB virtual RAM (12 GB dynamic total)
    • Storage: 64 GB internal storage
    • Display: 6.75-inch screen with 90 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and better video playback
    • Battery: 5000 mAh capacity for all-day use
    • Charging: Supports 5W reverse charging
    • Thickness: Slim 8.1 mm body for easier handling
    • Main Camera: 13 MP primary camera
    • Front Camera: 5 MP selfie camera for calls and social media
    • Protection: IP54 dust and splash resistance
    • Software: Ships with Android 16 out of the box
    • Design Features: Rounded-square camera module, clean back panel, vertical glass strip for a modern look

    Final thoughts

The UMIDIGI A75x does not behave like an entry-level phone. It brings a better screen, newer software, stronger design choices, and a big battery in a slim frame. It feels like a budget phone that wants to break the rules of its category. The UMIDIGI A75x looks like a “beyond entry-level” device that still carries an entry-level price tag.
