If you’re a big fan of mobile gaming, you might want to pay attention: Ayaneo, the company behind some of the best handheld gaming PCs, is turning its sights to the mobile gaming industry.
In a new video published last week, Ayaneo confirmed that its new smartphone that’s “truly made for gamers” is coming soon.
How soon is anyone’s guess given how light on details the announcement has been, but from the brief look we’ve been given at the phone, it’s got a clean design, with dual cameras, and what looks like physical shoulder buttons along the long edge. These can hopefully be used as proper bumpers to give players more control over their gameplay.
Android Central suggests that the phone could have a sliding design similar to the one found on the Sony Xperia Play, which hides in-build gaming controls beneath the screen, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Given Ayaneo is marketing this as when a “mobile phone meets the soul of a gaming handheld”, it’s clear its planning to use its PC gaming handheld prowess to target some of the best gaming phones in the market. How that’ll translate in terms of specs remains to be seen but given how well reviewed their consoles are – this is one to watch.
We’re still waiting to find out more about the phone, including its price and release date, but if you’re a mobile gamer looking for an upgrade, you might want to hold out a bit longer.
