Guillermo del Toro is back on Netflix with another stunning reimagining of a classic story. Frankenstein, del Toro’s retelling of Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel, packs a horror punch with its cinematography. The Gothic sci-fi film tells the story of Victor Frankenstein (Moon Knight’s Oscar Isaac), a disgraced scientist who reanimates a monstrous creature (played by Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi) to life in a daring experiment, and the consequences of this action.
Frankenstein had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in August this year. It began a limited theatrical release on October 17 and will be available for global streaming on Netflix on November 7.
