Google Chromebooks getting exclusive GeForce Now ‘Fast Pass’ tier

Google and Nvidia today announced GeForce Now Fast Pass, a streaming tier “built exclusively for Chromebook users.”

Fast Pass lets you stream over 2,000 PC games from GeForce RTX servers. That matches how the Free plan lets you access 2,000+ Ready-to-Play games. However, instead of the “Basic Rig,” you get the Performance tier’s GeForce RTX, which is $9.99 per month.

GeForce NOW connects to your existing libraries from stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox and more, so you don’t have to re-buy games.

Meanwhile, there are no ads with Fast Pass and you get to “skip the queue to get into your games.” You get 10 hours of gaming per month, with “up to five unused hours rolling over.”

Buying a Chromebook today (starting November 20) will get you one year of GeForce Now Fast Pass.

In 2022, Google made a big push for gaming Chromebook that offered high refresh rate displays and RGB keyboards. Content was provided by Stadia and GeForce Now, with Android games playing a role. The third part of that play was Steam for Chromebooks, which Google recently announced will stop working in early 2026.

This new partnership today could be seen as a way to address that upcoming deprecation.
